Very cold yesterday and today, no doubt, but these temps were common 40 years ago, not so much anymore (I'm NOT complaining).

80 and sunny here in Boynton Beach Florida..daughter lives in Richfiled..always visit in the summer...now I know why most people who live in Minneapolis are natives can't imagine moving to Minnesota because of the Frozen Tundra...

I was born in FL, parents moved us up here many years ago. They didn't much know what to except from the winter back then. Now my dad couldn't imagine living anywhere else in the world.

Another day near 80F in Irvine, CA. Thank you for another corporate relocation (last one was Atlanta)! I do not miss that type of cold, snow, sky high heating bills, and keeping your car clean/free of road salt. Lostinmpls - I'm guessing most people do not relocate to different parts of the country due to the traditionally poor job markets and terrible public school systems, which has basically been the entire state of Florida the past 30 years and now SoCal.

It's cold, but I'll take the variety of weather in Minnesota any day over the monotonous warm weather (changing to unbearably hot weather) of the southern climates. The changes in the seasons here are glorious!

This too shall pass... Above freezing by next Monday. Remember, the opposite holds true in summer. Beginning in June, those down south will be coming this way to escape the oppressive heat.

Bad headLine the air Temp did not get down to -36 that was windchill. Air temp was -10 this morning at 5am this is a very miss leading headline.. There is a deference in Air temp and Windchill

It's cold but I still got out skiing, running or cycling everyday, just gotta keep moving. No big deal. The oppressive heat in the south is worse and the 35 degrees and constant overcast and drizzle for 300 days out of the year in Seattle is far worse as well. Insofar as salt rainyroo, don't park your car by the sea it will rust out in a year.

This cold kills a lot of bugs. Ever see the size of the roaches and spiders in Florida, Arizona, California, Nevada? The sewer roaches alone would keep me from ever moving back to Phoenix!
