Hang on to your wallets, Minnesota. Here comes Mark Dayton. His "tax the rich" mantra actually does nothing to solve the budget deficit. So, now you will ALL pay more for the out of control spending which is typical of our government. There will be few, if any, spending cuts. You get what you vote for.

If you hear a lot of whining from both the left and the right, it will be a perfect plan.

A tax on clothing will KILL the MOA ... How can the law makers not see that ?? ... It's just like the federal level ... STOP SPENDING WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE !! ... That's like someone buying a new car and then telling their employer they are responsible for paying for it ... IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY !!!

Spend more on education w/o looking at the actual problems will do nothing. Let's increase the income and corp taxes and make MN the most taxed state in the nation. Let's add sales tax to clothes and increase the gas tax (both of which hurts lower incomes the most). Spending cuts, naaaay.

Taxing online purchases...I get that. Taxing clothing will turn the Mall of America into the largest empty building in the state.

Fix property taxes so the districts won't have to rely on public referendums, poor, awful policy. Jesse really messed that one up.

Fargo and other border city stores are eagerly awaiting Mr. Dayton to install the final nail in the Minnesota retail coffin.
