The person(s) who have stood in the way of these changes for decades should be keel hauled. It has not been "Lilac Drive" for several generations now. Mow down the Lilacs. Blow up the beehive fire pits. Bull doze everything that was once quaint about "Lilac Drive" er Highway 100.

How about doing something about that bottleneck that develops every day on 494 north through Plymouth? What about some consideration for those 1000s of drivers?

Well, what do you know. It's about time. They should also work on the Hwy 100/694 interchange too, and put in a transition ramp to westbound 694. Going through town to get to 694 westbound has always struck me as kind of lame.

YAHOO! The temporary fixes completed a few years ago have made the area much easier to drive, thus proving the need to complete the fixes permanently! This is great news!

Come on MNDOT get with it and widen 494 from 55 to I94...It is only about 15 years to late to address this mess!

I take it every day. The Minnetonka Blvd entry on either side can be tricky if you aren't used to it...there no yield time. This needed to be taken care of.

As a Saint Louis Parkie... yes! Now about that 394 business. Do you know it was intentionally designed to bottleneck at HWY 100 in order to force people into public transportation? Time to acknowledge that is a failure and open the thing up.

The author of this article should check who was responsible for this assinine design. That intersection was a "normal" intersection until someone declared that this current design would improve it. If you were going East on 7, to go South on 100 there was a normal right exit....worked fine. When I saw what they had done, I could not believe it. It was so bad it was almost funny. Multiple heads should roll over that, because it is now costing MUCH MORE to fix it and it has caused a huge number of accidents. There is a bigger story here and I tried to contact Stanek about this a few months ago, but he did not respond. I think that no one associated with the current debacle wants to admit it. Something is rotten at Hwy 7 & Hwy 100.

Just make it a toll road like they are doing everywhere else. Why hasn't the DFL thought of that?
