With Obama it is never about leadership. It is always about a fight. If you disagree with him be prepared to fight rather than have a rational discussion. It is his way or the highway. Pathetic.

Benjamin Franklin: "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Even Pres. Obama cannot guarantee safety for everyone - or anyone. And even Pres. Obama will have to compromise with the Republicans. Compromise goes both ways. I hope he stops acting like he has all the answers and all the power. If he does not then nothing will get done for the next 4 years.

rather than Obama's view of a community taking care of itself,"------------The problem is that Obama's idea of the community taking care of itself means Gov't taking care of them! Community taking care of itself would be neighbors watching out for neighbors, not gov't paying for everything.

Current social welfare recipients will deduct 21 Trillion more than they contributed into the various programs. That seems like an appropriate definition for taking.

Obama's ideals regarding compromise are set on his plans. If you don't like them, then you are being partisan.
