He's worked past a diagnosis of MS to play hockey, and a goal by Zach Parise made the Wild goalie a winner in a shutout.

So far the same as last year. NO offense!

touch, there's a difference between no offense and no offensive chances. We've played TWO games and you're saying "So far..." Good grief.

Touch what more do you want, 2-0 after virtually no practice. I don't know what game you were watching but I saw plenty of scoring chances and it was playing D the rest of the way. Last time I remember we sucked against Dallas. Lets not forget the fact that Parise's goal was outstanding!

I'm loving watching this team. They are still figuring themselves out but they are winning while doing it, that's the important thing. Can't wait until Tuesday to go 3 and 0 vs. Nashville!

SO FAR, THIS TEAM IS FUN TO WATCH COMPARED TO THE PAST. LOTS OF SCORERS WHO WILL HAVE MANY CHANCES AS THE SEASON WARMS UP. THE TEAM CHEMISTRY LOOKS STRONG AND , SO FAR I'M IMPRESSED. THE GUY WHO I ENJOY WATCHING IS KONOPKA WHO CAN BE THE TOUGH GUY WITH TALENT WHICH THIS TEAM NEEDS TO KEEP THE "GOONS" AT BAY. UNFORTUNATELY, WE WILL NOT GET A CHANCE TO SEE THE WILD PLAY BOSTON, NEW YORK, PHILLY, PITT, ETC.

There is chemistry developing on this team. Look at the way they're playing together. Koivu, Heater, and Zach look like they're having fun no matter what happens out there. They get back to the bench and they are joking and laughing with each other. A couple seasons ago the guys would get done with a shift then they'd go back and just sit on the bench and not even look at each other much less talk. This is going to be a fun season no matter what the end result is.

Harding looked solid, as he did Wednesday night. I thought Backstrom looked very shaky both nights. Nice to have a solid "backup" we can reply on. We certainly did have our offensive changes but sometimes you have to give credit to the opposing goalie. I believe we had more than 30 shots on goal.

What's the difference between winning 5-2 or winning 1-0? As long as you score more goals than your opponent it doesn't matter. After two games, you are 2-0 in the standings with 4 points. That's all that matters. Let's enjoy this team and the energy level surrounding the Wild. It's going to be very exciting abbreviated season! When you are only playing 48 games, it's critical to get off to a fast start in the standings.
