Another LIE. So if the school didn't think it would be good for the schoolS involved in the game (really he meant Notre Dame only) or the playerS involved (Really he meant Manti Teo only) then why didn't they report it the day after, 2 days after, 1 week after or even 10 days after? What made them think the Teo family was going to release it in the 21st of Jan? And why that specific date?

The other thing is that they are still trying to portray Te'o as a victim, when that is not a fact at all. There were 2 interviews given by Te'o after the date he publicly stated he found out about the hoax, but before this story became public knowledge, in which he was still sticking to the "dead girlfriend" story. This is pretty incriminating evidence that at the very least, even if he wasn't playing along with this from the very beginning, he still played along with it for a period of time without disclosing it. You could easily see where he might have done this to help his heisman chances, or, if nothing else, he was hoping if he played along it would go away with nobody finding out, which is very dishonest, considering that he had a large segment of the American public and media coverage giving him sympathy he didn't deserve.

because it would look bad, what a great reason to shirk the responsibility of disclosure

1. Notre Dame AD is totally lame and should be fired. 2. The media was already taken in hook, line and sinker by a 22 year old kid because media did not do any investigative journalism- they didn't verify the facts before reporting the 'story'. 3 Katie Couric found work?

Jeremy Schaap, Katie Couric....what next Oprah? Te'o's handlers know what they are doing even if Te'o doesn't.
