Three vehicles go through the ice on Lake Minnetonka in one day, leaving one person in critical condition, and you want to put hundreds or thousands of people on the ice to play hockey? I knew we had to be crazy to live in Minnesota, but........

@ jjpulczinski :: Thanks for the laugh. Two points -- The article did not state all spectators would be on the ice, much less at the same time. Second, if we were to reconcile recent injuries due to falling through ice on Minnetonka, among other lakes, we'd see that many can be attributed to people who have no experience, understanding or respect for the natural dynamics at hand.

The real Pond Hockey Championships were held this past weekend on Lake Nokomis. This tournamant is solely to make money for the organizers.
