"Some have argued that because of the time and place of his birth (in Hawaii in 1961), Obama never experienced the overt, de jure discrimination that King fought against." ----- Baloney!

Which leads to the BITTER irony that whereas MLK worked to bring the nation together, president divideus works to tear it apart.

And remember if I dislike Obama's politics, that truth does not make me a racist.

cks1950 says: " president divideus works to tear it apart." Makes no sense at all to blame Obama for your anger. Other than a return to the 19th century and the triumph of Gilded Age Social Darwinism, is there anything that would make reactionaries happy? Don't even bother pretending, the right never embraced MLK any more than they have the President. Same old, same old...

One was a true leader, the other is a pupet for George Soros. You can not even compare the two. One had courage and worked to make this a better America, and the other (obama) is working to make us 3rd world naation. Not even a close comparison. I would actually call it a really really far leap.

Barack's mother is Ann Soetoro. She was a teen mother who later got a Ph.D. in anthropology; a white woman from the Midwest. So how does this make Barack a black president?

This adoration of the worst president in my 57 years is getting ridiculous. I am ashamed that he has fooled so many of you. Pompous, shallow and incompetent.

"Which leads to the BITTER irony that whereas MLK worked to bring the nation together, president divideus works to tear it apart."...............This is completely false. The very week of Obama's swearing in, the GOP was meeting to design its strategy of all-out obstructionism. From Day One, this party unilaterally chose to make its top priority to defeat everything this president tried to do. For at least three years, Obama repeatedly tried to compromise and work with the House, all to no avail, so to blame him for not uniting the parties is beyond the pale and a lie.
