CDC chief: Flu hospitalizations spike in the elderly, season is shaping up to be a bad one

I've read both that it is and isn't a good match...so which is it? And again no stats on the deaths and if they had the shot or not. And yes, they do know because they ask when you come in sick... that was my experience at Minute Clinic even and my friends at Urgent Care. 29 deaths out of a population of 350M and they say usually aruond 100 die each year, so why all the fuss if we haven't hit that yet and this is the time we most hear about the flu anyway? (even if it can continue till April time)
