Talks in the lengthy labor dispute are terminated, and shows are scrapped through late March.

"Talks were made under a media blackout." Like anyone cares anyway. Both sides apparently think a little to much of themselves. This is going to go on a bit longer. You can't make this up.

Between the SPCO on lockout and the Minnesota Orchestra on strike ... the silence is indeed deafening ... classical music-wise.

Get your facts straight - Dobson West is both Chair and President of the Board of Directors AND President and Managing Director of the SPCO. Both Board and Staff. Conflict of interest much? When is the media going to call a spade a spade - or, in this case, Chair/President/President/Managing Director???

Those blockheads at the NHL belatedly sorted out their contract differences and it's time for the SPCO Board and SCPO 'players' to do likewise.

The Minnesota Orchestra is not on strike. Its musicians are also locked out.
