Gutsy performance, Rodney (Houdini)!! Great disappearing act. Not ready for prime time MN...so typical!

sloppy play, turnovers and a bench that let the game get away, not playing like a top ten team at the moment

Face it; Gophers are not an elite team. They beat MSU who is so-so at best (working hard to beat a very average PSU last night) and Illinois who are also just OK (they are losing big to NW tonight). They will be a mid-pack team in the Big Ten.

Play some zone defense, play some 1-3-1, whatever you need to do. If you can't stop the other team, you can't win! Also...FREE THROWS! Practice them please! Die-hard Gopher fan here...please regroup this team and lets get some Big Ten wins. Go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah!

Probably because this is NOT a top 10 outfit! Same old, same old, all out of cupcakes and Bill's Barber Colleges to play...

Great points, Amelia. This Gopher team just isn't a title contender for three reasons: the carelessness with which they handle the ball, their 3pt defense, and the lack of really any useful bench play. Very shoddy, unfocused performance punctuated by Smith's incredibly damaging substitutions with the Gophers leading 13-10. I wonder when Smith will realize that Ahanmisi and Osenieks just aren't cut out big time basketball. Smith certainly put his poor stamp on the game tonight too.

Horrific clutch free throws down the stretch. Tubby looked like he was on the verge of an ulcer.
