Having children should be talked about before marriage. And the racist family...If you love him who cares what anyone else thinks? A year isnt that long to decide to spend the rest of you life with someone though but in the end do what your heart wants

Seriously? This couple didn't discuss whether they were going to have a family when they got married? Unbelievable. If she is serious about having children, I say divorce him now, find someone who does want a family, and be happy. Being at loggerheads about such a monumental thing does not bode well for the relationship anyway.

People change their minds. About REALLY important things. This applies to both letters. I have a hard time advising someone to leave the person they love for the possibility of having children. It's not a given it will happen for her.

My best friend was dating a guy and they werent serious. Well they got serious he wanted kids, she didnt, they were both up front from the start. However, this did change but again BEFORE marriage they did part.
