Uh....Theft of metal is already illegal Amy. It's called theft. Rather than pass another law that will be ignored How about someone just enforce the existing laws on THEFT?

Are you serious Amy? Why don't you focus on repealing the Bush Patriot Act extensions and the NDAA bill provision of 'indefinite detention' (Sorry, but the Feinstein 'repeal' didn't repeal anything). These laws affect the Constitutional Rights of MILLIONS of Minnesotans and YOU yes Amy YOU voted for BOTH of them! Klobuchar, you are a DO-NOTHING Senator just 6th district representative Michele Bachmann.

@bullet, "just enforcing" is not much of a strategy. It's like a football coach telling his offense to "just score". This bill is intended to give the police and courts additional tools to get the job done more effectively.

Amy needs to concentrate on the big picture - the debt, the deficit, entitlements. You NEVER hear her talk about these things. Instead she supports redundant laws and 'small' issue things that should be handled by the state legislature.

How about passing another law making it a felony for "undocumented workers" to enter the country illegally, overstay a visa, ignore deportation orders or fraudulently apply for social services benefits. Or how about just enforcing the laws that are already on the books?

This might be a good idea....Since when is an ice skating rink considered "critical infrastructure"???

It has come to this. Gun control, debt, deficits, spending, taxes, national security, are all pressing matters of the day, but the Senator is talking about this?? That is how she cruises to re-election, keep your head down...

How about laws that prevent theft from US citizens via the Fed's inflationary tactics and a government that places us further in debt? An acknowledgement of these would address why copper/gold/silver are so valuable???

Both Amy and Al tackle the "lightweight" issues. Don't they realize what the big picture is?

Yes, it is valuable. Perhaps we should support legislation to mine it in Minnesota? It certainly helps with the green economy that Amy Klobuchar, Al Franken and Rick Nolan advocate for but don't support with mining. We advocate exporting jobs instead it would appear.
