"Serious crime in St. Paul stayed nearly static between 2011 and 2012, as violent crimes increased and property crimes decreased." Really, St Paul is reporting on "Serious Crime"? The FBI hasn't reported on Serious Crime since 2004 because the majority of reported Part I crime is larceny/theft and those stats wash out the numbers for everything else. Plus when does St. Paul PD plan to start reporting all of their part II numbers again? I'm calling this poorly manipulated statistics. Across the river they're reporting changes in gunshots weekly. The Crime Lab was the tip of the iceberg, St Paul PD should get with the program.
