Clearly someone is milking their guaranteed contract and knows they have no future in MLB...the system permits him to take the year off so why not?

Not sure what to think about Blackburn....either he's demon-ed or he's just lunching up....I can't believe the latter, but who knows??? Easy Money??? Who wouldn't do it??

Jeez, Rochesters staff really took a hit with this news. What will they do without their long reliever?

Umm.. why did this clown wait until mid-Jan. to have this surgery, when he could of had it done last Oct, and presumably then be ready for the season. Good timing Blackburn.

Probably the best news the Twins have had so far! And did he really say "It's been a circus the last couple of years"? Send in the clowns! Mr Blackburn they're calling your name.

I can see waiting a few months after season to see if a sore arm heals on its own, but for goodness sakes, don't the Twins monitor this, and ultimately aren't they responsible for not seeing to it that this surgery took place in December, not mid January? This seems to be an ongoing problem with Twins trainers and medical staff, not just Blackburn.

Every year Rock Bottom hosts a tapping and brings in a current member of the Twins as a publicity stunt. It's usually a good time, however I've noticed a pattern over the last several years. Last year they invited Revere, in 2011 they brought in Valencia, Punto was there in 2010, and Mike Redmond was came in 2009. Please RB, if you're reading this, please invite Blackburn to attend this year. That's all I ask.

Sometimes when you pull on one thread the whole thing falls apart.
