Wild's Falk, Prosser are blue-line greenhorns no more

Defensemen Justin Falk and Nate Prosser will get a chance to show they're ready to contribute.

allegiance maybe missing with Cuma in the Wild current management group, as objective as Fletcher may be its human nature to gravitate to his guys he drafted.... Cuma has been healthy long enough now and he is at the point where someone is going to have to make this guy a 7th d man to see if he can work his way into the top 6, you do that because he was a high draft pick who has shown he has big time potential.... If the gm of the team that drafted him high in the 1st round was still here now I don't think any question would exist under these circumstances he would be the number 7 guy, you would feel inspired to help this guy get his confidence..... instead were thinking about helping a guy that just turned 18 whose not performing in the juniors. Maybe Dumba has the more physical upside to his game.... Just sayin

I'm glad to see the team showing confidence in Prosser and Falk. Sure they had their ups and downs (like the entire team) but as a whole they both had a respectable season, logged important minutes and earned their shot for this year. I too would like to see Cuma up here some time. He's been through a lot and stuck to it. Hopefully he can remain healthy.

I definitely think these two have earned a spot. Prosser has been more consistent than Falk, but overall they deserve the shot they're getting. Good for the Wild to show some loyalty.

Both these kids have good size and speed and by stepping up their physical game will make a big contribution to the blue line corps.

I think Falk is the key. Prosser is what he is...a steady defensive defenseman on his best days. But Falk (in my opinion) has the ability to become a very, very good shut-down defenseman. He needs to find it in himself to become more gritty, but 6 - 5 guys who can skate like he can are rare.
