Funny thing is that everything I look at on line still seems to work just fine after I comletley un installed Java - mind you I also keep Shockwave Flash disabled unless I actually want to see the advertising...err I meant video.

If you have ComCast and use their internet service and email, disabling Java disables your email. ComCast was not very helpful when contacted about a solution.
