I can hardly wait for another "it's all the Republicans' fault" campaign speech. Enough is enough. Start leading the country please.

So what, he has not done anything while in office. Nice job on the economy buddy. Thanks for the tax hikes on the middle class and for shrinking my paycheck. Worthless leader. All talk no action.

How can the president say the Social Security checks will be delayed. I was lead to believe that FICA funds were ment to cover Social Security and we are still collecting sufficient funds to cover that outgo. Is he confusing Social Security fund with funds from the General fund? Is he confused or am I?

Nobody held the entire country hostage when Congress voted to increase the credit limit 7 times during the W administration. Why so much sturm und drang today? There's a Democrat in the White House now, that's why. The GOP has gone from "deficits don't matter" to the deficit being the be all and end all to any discourse on government. Pretty hypocritical, but there it is....

wisstinks4 - Contrary to what Rush told you, there is no tax increase on the middle class. If you're talking about the 2% social security that is being reset to its previous rate, that is not a tax increase.
