The U got a sweep of Alaska Anchorage, thanks to Kyle Rau's hat trick -- which oddly was rewarded with only one hat tossed to the ice.

Keep it going boys. All the way to the Frozen Four. It's been 10 years, if you can believe it since we've won a championship! We're due and this team looks like the team that has everything they need to get it done.

Congrats to Kyle Rau on HT and Gophers on sweep of a last-place team, but they will need all that and more this coming weekend. A good week of practice will help. Go Gophs!

Watching Alaska-Anchorage play hockey is even worse than watching Wisconsin and Northwestern play basketball.

The sweep by the Gophs was following the rout of BC and ND. The first game was a slight let down but a win is a win especially the way the Gophers tenaciously came back in the last minutes of the first game proving they are a top notch team. The second game was more like it as they pounded the Seadogs into submission. Nice game by Rau and others. Now the Gophs have to do the same against the Sioux as the lady Gophs did to them. Go Gophers!!!!
