Embarassed in the first half, the Gophers erased most of a 23-point deficit in the second only to fall short in the end.

Typical Tubby Gopher effort. Absolutely pathetic in the first half. Crawl back in the second half but the hole was too deep. Too many turnovers. Lack of fundamentals (blocking out, help defense, ball movement, etc.). When will this team learn to hand on to the ball? When will they learn to move without the ball? When will they learn to move their feet on defense? Must win against Michigan if they want to compete. Sadly, just more of the same from Tubby.

Wow, the Gopher haters are already coming out of the woodwork. We played a terrible first half but rebounded with an impressive second half. Unfortunately it's near impossible to beat a top-5 team on their home court. We definitely showed we belong in the upper echelon of the B1G. Can't wait for the Michigan game next week. These boys have something to prove and I guarantee they'll be looking to avenge this one!

Well, if we can return the favor when Indie visits us, all will be well. Incidentally, I checked on Colton Iverson's record so far this season at CSU: he's the leading scorer and is third on the team in time played (as of 2 weeks ago). Now I understand that team harmony depends on more than just X's and O's, but still, it's a shame he couldn't finish his college career with the Gophers.

Inspired effort after a disastrous first half that showcased all the familiar problems: nerves, turnovers, poor 3-point defense. The Gophers have to realize [at the beginning of the game, not after halftime] that there is no pressure; we're the Gophers after all and nobody expects them to win. When they play loose, they're capable of great play, and they showed that in the last 20 minutes. I like our chances against Michigan. Go Gophers!

This tough road loss will serve the Gophers well down the road.

Very disappointing loss. However, I lived in Indiana for (12) years and assure you that Assembly Hall is probably one of the most difficult venues in America for an opposing team to steal a win. To all those who have given-up on the Gophers due to this one loss ... I'm sure that I'll see you on these pages again next week. If we can win 2 out of 3 over Illinois, Indiana and Michigan ... we'll be just fine.

No shame in the fact that both of our losses so far have been against the only two teams to be ranked #1 this season. And with Duke losing today that means we'll get a shot at #1 Michigan at the barn. How's that for exciting basketball?
