Very sad. The grandparent's committed a crime and should be held accountable. Y

I'm so confused about this. He applied for the name change in 2006 and it was to his real last name, so he must have known a little about his background. Did the courts not have anything to cross-reference his date of birth and name with anything nationally? Having gone through a self-initiated name change myself, I know that the applicant has to appear before a judge and has to give a reason, whatever that reason may be. I just can't believe something wasn't triggered before now. I'm sure his grandparents did what they felt was right, and maybe the mother wasn't fit to raise him (we don't know everything and shouldn't assume that just because she gave birth meant she was able to give him better than the grandparents did). So many questions for the general public, I can't imagine what this young man has going through his head.
