The tally begins. How many headlines will we read this session about how the GOP is outraged about this, angry about that, shocked, bewildered, miffed, or inconvenienced? How many times will they oppose something, vow to block something else, demand, rebuke, or deny? It starts with history curriculum, then their staff's pay, what next: bathroom privileges? The GOP is hardly an inspiring lot.

some salaries for their staffers will be reduced by as much as 40 percent. - Falls right in line with pay for doctors. If you don't vote with the takers, they will take from you. No worries, the rest of you are next. So much for caring about the workers, the elite will always protect themselves. Way to go.

A plane takes 6 hours to fly from San Francisco to New York, and 5 hours to return back. The wind velocity is 50 miles per hour, from New York to San Francisco. What is the total increase in taxes Obama will ask for the rich to pay? I doon't understand either. Your guess is as good as mine.

Boy that's a pitiful lot, they dump the democrats staff wages last year and this year complain about the democrats doing it to them. The regressive party of passing every law and forcing everything they can to make it harder on democrats to vote or work is catching up to them and I propose they triple their efforts and go tit for tat. Like shortening the hours in republican districts for them to vote and throwing out regressive voter judges and making a law that regressive have to pay to vote, sounds good to me also. Keep it up until they become republicans again.

If this outrages them, then my position is going to send them into orbit. I would work on reducing the size of our ENTIRE legislature by at least 50%. Imagine the savings.

Most of the whining Republicans have never worked with pay scales other than their own. Unbelievably, some of them used the argument: "she has student debt!" and "he has two young kids!" to bolster their cries. These are arguments that went away 30 years ago with arguments such as "he is the family breadwinner", and "you know, she might get pregnant" to rationalize salary levels. - Republicans claim to support the free market, but only when it applies to someone else. They hired Sviggum to boost his "high five". Their caucus brought Brodkorb to the Senate floor and unilaterally caused an expensive lawsuit that they don't want settled but want taxpayers to fund. The GOP is incapable of governing and overseeing a budget and this is just another example.

What doesn't provoke howls of outrage from the GOP?

All I have to say is that what goes around comes around. Look for the Republican party to do the same to the Democrats if and when they retain the majority. This is now getting ridiculous the battle between the two parties. stop it, get together and stop the insanity. All of you legislators!!!
