Great win on the road! Coleman had a BREAKOUT performance. His game rose to a new level in this game. Let it continue! Still like to see the ball thrown inside to Rodney more, he won't shoot it unless he can take a good shot, leading to a nice inside-out kickout. Walker, Eliason, and Ingram need to keep improving, gonna be interesting to see how many minutes they get now that we are in to the heart of our conference schedule. Ski-u-mah!!!

Coleman was always the X factor for this team, and to see him come through and deliver against Illinois was fantastic. He is the key to this team exceeding expectations. One quibble, and it really is just a quibble for a team ranked 8th in the nation: Mbakwe's move into the starting lineup makes for a thin bench, and the Gophers scored not a bench point against Illinois. Mav and Elliot didn't look ready for such high level competition either. Welch might be the guy to find another gear. All in all, it's been a great ride. Let's beat Indiana....go Gophers!

Now its time for the Gophers to take their talents to Indiana and beat the overrated Hoosiers.

I like the fact this team plays defense very well. Shooting for most teams is a hot or cold thing but defense is consistant. If the gophers keep working hard they have a real shot at the final 4 and then anything can happen.

I love Joe Coleman's grit, tenacity, physicality, and athletic ability. There's another word for people who have all these traits ... "Leadership". These are people who don't usually lead the team in scoring, but who step up their game when the chips are down. Every team needs to have a Joe Coleman. ... I'm delighted to see you get the recognition you deserve once in a while Joe. Keep up the great work, because you are an important member of this team, and they wouldn't be where they are this year without you.
