This new presidential brain trust will lack a full perspective.
What a shame, it is not what you know or how you can do the job, it is what color or sex you are. PC world gone nuts. I disagree on everything this president has done. But i think he can pick the person he wants without using quotas.
Um, if thats bothersome vote in non-white, non-males and stop complaining.
So is the writer calling Obama a racist and a mysogynist?
Competentcy trumps diversity Ms Marcus! Was Hillary Clinton chosen because she was a woman or the best person to be Secretary of State.Blame the Republicans not President Obama about Susan Rice.John Kerry will be an outstanding Secretary of State so would have Susan Rice.Ms Marcus,I suppose you would have wanted Condelezza Rice at State if Romney won.
My guess about why this new selection lacks diversity is that Obama cherry-picked the best women and people of color the first time around in 2008 and there simply are few who've been honed and moving up in the ranks to take the places of those leaving. Just a guess, though.
Let's just have quotas for everything/everyone. Any group that is "over-represented" in any job etc has its numbers frozen until everybody else catches up percentage/quota wise. Can't wait for impact on attorneys, doctors, nurses, teachers, professional sports, Hollywood etc!
Bush had a more diverse cabinet and administration than obama and the liberals bashed Bush for not having one. The hypocrisy is astounding.
And we need quotas for male teachers in elementary schools so boys can grow up with good role models.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 2% of pre-K and kindergarten teachers and 18% of elementary and middle-school teachers are men.The situation is more balanced, but not evenly balanced, in secondary school, where 42% of teachers are men. Our role models for males is female. Prhaps we need a more balanced male population?
Perhaps we need to have more balanced males? The jobs of role model once upon a time were the fathers, sportsman and yes the president. Anymore it's just a bunch of finger pointing and if anyone cares" Stupidity is not gauged by what you do not know moreover, what you refuse to learn." 1) You can't keep rewarding bad behavior. 2) Role models are not a woman or a man issue. 3) If you have children, be a role model and 4) Let us try to not make everything that goes a rye in our communities the responsibility of government or other professionals to fix. Families need to be fixed and nurtured,
It’s everyone’s purpose, not just a few.
