Another day, another shooting tragedy. Is now the right time to talk about serious reform to our gun laws? I think it is.

Ok, so this 16 year old shooter used a shotgun, which at most can hold 5 shells. Now we are going to want to ban shotguns? No new laws would have prevented what happened today, unless a total ban on guns is implemented. I know that a lot of liberals would like to see it, but that pesky constitution keeps getting in their way. "Molon labe"

One thing is evident to me: Because this shooter did not have a Bushmaster-type weapon, his rampage was limited. And, of note, it didn't take a good guy with a gun to de-fuse this tense situation, rather a hero of another sort who nevertheless limited potential carnage.

This story must really irk the pro gun NRA types. The teacher was able to talk the student into putting down a gun just with words- not by pulling out a weapon. I thought the only way you could stop a gun was with another gun?? I am sure it is a big disappointment to some that the teacher didn't save the day Dirty Harry fashion.

Shooting classmates because of bullying is BEYOND unacceptable. But is it possible to get kids to stop bullying?
