Now will the naysayers say California is a bankrupt state? It takes revenue (taxes) and some spending cuts to get out of a recession. California really needs to concentrate on their public schools which have been neglected for so long.

California really needs to concentrate on their public schools which ---- more like parents need to start paying attention to their children in ca and placing an emphasis on education. You can increase school spending 0 fold, but if you don't have parents that give a flip there will be no improvement.

Increased taxes and budget discipline - sounds like he's using the approach Clinton took in balancing the US budget in the 90's.

Businesses are leaving in droves due to high taxes and regulations. As the year progresses, you will hear more dire stories. It is sad, because Calif is such a beautiful state.
