Great picks. Not too many homer picks and even when you did you explained it well. Good article Mark, i agree with you on almost all.

I agree on the picks, except any that go to cheesefaces. There must have been better players in their positions. Must have been. Just cant vote for them, ever.

Mark, I don't receive any monitary compensation for this either but I believe most readers don't realize what a good sports reporter you really are and how priveledged Minnesota fans are in having you a local guy. When watching Access Vikings I appreciate the fact that, unlike other reporters (anyone from ESPN and most from SI) you don't have stars in your eyes when talking about football. You see and report on football with a big picture view and common sense aproach that is anything but common.

Defensive Rookie should be Harrison Smith. But besides that I agree with almost all. I do think that the majority of voters will split MVP and Comeback POY between Manning and Peterson one way or the other and give AP offensive POY...

Great article. Intelligent, well written and to the point. Maybe you can give Souhan a few pointers.

Not a homer at all. Just happens to be three players from one of the worst offenses in the league on the on your offense. Go figure.

Four All-Pro, Comeback POY, MVP and nary a playoff victory to show for it.

AP offensive player of the year, no player meant more to his team.

Peterson is the MVP, but I actually think Manning should get the Comeback Player award. As awful as Peterson's injury was, he only missed two games, and his 2011 season would've been a good season by any other RB's standards. So he wasn't really "coming back" the same way that Manning was. Manning missed an entire season, got dumped by his team in favor of a rookie, started over in a new city, and led that new team to the first seed in the playoffs. No disrespect to Peterson, but that seems like a bigger comeback.

No player is oversold more than John Sullivan. If he were half as good as the local sportswriters claim him to be he would he would be voted an all pro every year. He simply isn't that great.
