"The line will operate much like light rail, but instead of trains, buses using shoulders on Cedar Avenue will provide station-to-station service." The station-to-station nature is about where the resemblance to LRT ends. This was a "transit" project which was primarily used for highway expansion (Cedar Ave to six lanes, intersection improvements, etc). It's not a legitimate transit line. It will only run every half hour... not a frequency where people can just show up. Not to mention the stations are in barren wastelands of auto-oriented development. Other than the MOA terminus, there's little people can do on the line without driving somewhere else (Cedar is a highway that suffocates adjacent land use, not a street that facilitates adjacent land use). Anyways, imagining this as the equivalent to LRT (with a color line on a map no less) is unfortunate.
