Jack Morris will have to wait one more year to get into the Hall of Fame - or not get in at all.

The writers who sent in blank ballots should not get to vote any more. Morris deserves to be in.

Morris is getting thrown into a mess that he wasn't involved in. Morris didn't cheat, but he loses out on valuable votes due to people that cheated and/or writers who sent in blank ballots. If the writers wanted to make a stand, instead of sending in blank ballots, vote for guys like Morris who didn't cheat, and don't vote for guys who did cheat. It's not that hard.

It'd be nice to see a workhorse like Morris get voted in, especially nowadays when pitchers are coddled like never before.

It almost seems like congress is voting this, just like the budget they screw up year after year. Morris must be in, time for this to change how the system works...

Put Jack in ! He was the consummate competitor. And that 1991 final start was one for the ages....a signature event.

What a shame. He was one of the, if not, best pitcher in the 1980's. If you dominate a decade, you deserve to be in the HoF. It looks like it'll be a few more years before they all agree to vote Ken Griffey Jr. in. He's the only HoF candidate that the writers would agree upon. Biggio deserves to go in, but not right away. Bagwell and all the other admitted PED users, buy a ticket if you want to get in. Because it won't be free to view everyone else's plaques.

There were only 5 blank ballots. Morris was about 41 votes short. Do the math the blank ballots meant nothing to Morris chances.

I am thankful none of the other besides Morris did not get in, but it is a shame that Morris did not. He was dominate when he had to be, and loses out because he didn't have the padded stats of other HOF'ers, and the druggies that were also on the ballot..

Morris' ERA of 3.90 is holding him back. He would have the highest era of any pitcher elected to the Hall of Fame. This by itself is an unjust measurement as hitting has become more predominate in the modern era. Hope he makes it next year.
