So, where are the spending cuts?
If he does he should be impeached.
I was just waiting for how long this would take, why do we even have the legislature, Obama can vote anything in he wants i guess.
He's already ignored the constitution many times what is one more time.
This president has done everything he can without getting congressional approval. Amnesty, EPA requriements, etc. If he tries this, say goodbye to the checks and balances that the founders put in to prevent tyranny!
If you are Obama and his ilk, silly things like our Constitution really are meaningless.
I vote for the 14th amendment, the alternative is to watch the regressive cut every program they can from the poor and give half or more to the wealthy. The goofy idea that he should be impeached for using the constitution takes a real lot of thinking.
Potter may I remind you.............
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better"..........Barrack Obama 3/2006
potter101, sounds good and you can pay for it. I dont know if you saw the rich got a tax hike, only there wasnt and wont be any cuts so no debt ceiling hike.
Obama promised to cut the deficit in half during his first term. The opposite happened. He just wants to keep kicking the can down the road to future generations and not contribute to cutting govt spending. He should step up and lead instead of having hissy fits...
