What will get done is what is PC and ignore the real cause of the problem, mental illness, which is the common denominator in just about all of these mass shooting, because that is the easiest and most vote getting. Yes, politics play a big part in these "negotiations." Let tha law abiding citizens beware!

"The president is going to act," said Biden, giving some comments to the press before a meeting with victims of gun violence. "There are executives orders, there's executive action that can be taken. We haven't decided what that is yet. But we're compiling it all with the help of the attorney general and the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action that we believe is required." This president has done far too much with "exeutive" orders already. If he starts banning guns or ammunition on his will alone i believe there will be serious consequences ahead for this country.

All Biden, Obama, or anyone else has to do is look at the thousands of gun buyers lined up daily to purchase guns of all sorts, including "assault weapons" and they'll get a pretty good idea how well any proposed ban would work. Do they think these same people would support any law requiring them to turn over their guns or otherwise restrict them? Making boastful threats about "executive actions" is clear evidence that they're painfully aware that public and congressional support for any major initiatives is gone. As has happened so often in the past, what could have been a cooperative, thoughtful discussion on a couple of gun control subjects which most of us could support has lurched into the realm of "overreach" where gun control enthusiasts live out their fantasies of seeing the government going door to door scooping up all the evil guns.

"There are executives orders, there's executive action that can be taken. We haven't decided what that is yet. But we're compiling it all with the help of the attorney general and the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action that we believe is required." - Obama and Biden are getting ready to topple the tree house. No matter what they say, all these actions or proposed actions are small steps towards one outcome: Jack booted thugs going door to door confiscating firearms from private citizens... accompanied by thunderous applause from the "enlightened" masses. It's happened before, it will again.

Obama will have to use an "executive order" because the US Congress and the people of the United States do NOT support him on this issue.

The other common denominator is guns. It has to be part of the discussion.

Gotta love the left. They find it perfectly okay that Obama wants to use executive order to override the constitution of the United States. In order to confiscate the guns he would also need to override the 4th ammendment of the constitution via executive order. I am sure he has no problem trying to override both ammendments.

"the people of the United States do NOT support him on this issue... you may be surprised." - True that. Dictators are often carried to power on the shoulders of the people, in celebration.
