Get rid of all the tax breaks. You can take mine if you take everyone elses at the same time. I don't want to pay for anyone else to have kids and they don't want to pay for my mortgage. I don't want to pay for my neighbors business trip to Hawaii, and he doesn't want to pay for my windows. If you want something, buy it, but don't expect others to pay you for it!

Time for either the flat tax with no deductions beyond some baseline that covers the necessities (poverty line) or the FairTax where everyone keeps their entire paycheck (including no payroll taxes) and receives a prebate up to the poverty line so that there are no taxes on the necessities. Time to stop picking winners and losers and everyone would have skin in the game when it comes to government spending except the truly poor.
