It is time to start listening to people like Max Cleland instead of Lindsay Graham. I will be blunt; I like Hagel because he is an independent thinker and that puts him in the minority in the D.C.

Hagel is a Republican and even his own party doesn't like him. That's a huge red flag...

Hagel is right. We can accomplish nothing more in Afghanistan. We struck a severe blow to Al-Queda and that is really our only mission. We continue going after terrorists and we leave Afghanistan to their people to fix. It's sad but a fact that they are responsible for their own country. A lot of people will die and we don't have the money or manpower to prevent it. The Taliban kill people who are trying to give health care to children and then brag about it. The really sad thing is how many Afghans sympathize with or support the Taliban. If they didn't, the Taliban wouldn't last. Those who look toward modernization are or will be killed. They are locked into the dark ages for who knows how many more decades or centuries. Do we want to be there that long?

"Hagel is a Republican and even his own party doesn't like him. That's a huge red flag..." Red flag? Most people would consider that a badge of honor. Hagel is the right man for the job and we need more like him.

We run wars to lose the fewest soldiers, last a long time, fight not to win and not to lose, don't use our strength and at the greatest financial cost. Don't you get it? Follow the money.
