We'll find out early if the Gophers are contenders or out of the loop. The aforementioned games, and don't forget, in not too long, Wisconsin: Bo Ryan has had Tubby's number for awhile and if we don't see some wins, at least in half of these upcoming games, then they'll have to scrap like crazy for a bid to the NCAA tourney. Good luck Gophers, and make free throws.

perimeter d is the achilles heel of the gophers... if the illini or hoosiers start to get it going outside it'll be a tough week. Got to hit from the stripe, too. If they don't they will not contend for a Big Ten title.

The season isn't a wash if they lose to Illinois or Indiana, or both; I think the conference champion is going to have at least 4 and maybe 5 losses this year. We must, however, bring an element of competitiveness to both games, and steal one if we can. If we win 2 or 3 of the next three, the Big Ten title is realistic. If we win 1 of 3, we can still finish in the top four.

there's no reason the gopher's can't win all 3 of these games. If they're the real deal, they'll win all 3...1 of 3 is not acceptable.
