The team is on the hunt for improvement with better blockers up front for purple Jesus, better WR's (who can get open) and better CB's on defense. I can see the day when purple Jesus rushes for 600 yds on the green bushers next year. Can't wait for him to run over girly boy Matthews, Hawk and big-time cheater Woodson.

It would show they are committed to take Peterson up on working out with him. Ponder and Jarius wright should be pushing to get that opportunity. Heck the whole team should

Better corners? I think I have heard that one enough and I will offer evidence of that. First, the corners that apparently didn't cut it here, went on to play for other NFL teams and have done quite well. Second, you can bring in an entire all pro defensive backfield and it will fail if you give a decent NFL QB as much time as Rogers got. Now, how can you blame a corner for that? Take a look at the pass rush last Saturday and tell me if the GB offensive line was that good, our defensive pass rush was that bad, or both? And please, look at the defensive scheme that was being played, before you declare it to be a corner's problem. Finally, and nothing against Sheryls, but when Winfield went down and Sheryls had to play, even the announcers in the booth started in. My solution(s).... there are several, but I will start with the obvious. On offense Peterson is pulled out on third down and I have no idea why. But why on the defensive third and long, isn't a nickle or dime package brought in? It gets old.

In coming close to setting the record, he was running against a defense that totally ignored the rest of the offense. The replays show every linebacker and then some, moving with Peterson only... and yet, did we run a reverse? Next year, we need to get more diverse in the offense and then watch Peterson gain some freedom to run. That would be some decent receivers and a proven NFL QB. Wonder if San Fran would trade Harvin for Smith even up?

"nessmess: Bless his heart! It's in the right place..... 2,250 next year!!" ---- Yep. He did really well. Now he needs to get traded to a real team where he can get that ring. He has accomplished all things possible with the New Jersey Vikings. He needs to move on and accomplish the next benchmark(s) with a better group. Seriously, imagine him contributing to a really talented team instead of showing his current teammates how he can carry them to victories. Tiresome is what he would become.

@rshackleford. Congratulations...you went an entire post without complaining about the new stadium (which you do in 99% of your other posts). Much like the Vikings improved record this year, that is progress.

Every play should be a handoff to AP or a fake handoff to AP. We should NEVER set up to pass block. We should drive block like a runnning play every time, run or pass. During the 4 game win streak, the only reason the rest of the offense didi anything is because of the attention (fixation?) the defenses had on AP. Use that. Of course, receivers that understand how to go after a ball, how to use their body to sheild defensive backs, when to cut a route short, would help A LOT!. Somebody tell Simpson that when you are running a quick slant over the middle you never go OUTSIDE the dback; instant interception. Reach out towards the QB for cryin out loud. Watch hightlight tapes of guys like Bradshaw, Marino, All of them and you will see most of the great plays are actually great catches, NOT great throws. We don't have any receiver who can get the ball in traffic more than 0nce or twice a year. Bill G.
