Governor Christie is quickly losing his base of support when he is chastising his own party after asking for all the goodies for his state and not immediately getting them. Doesn't jive with his rhetoric throughout the election process. Having the political courage to just say no to stupid spending. Guess that only was meant for the other 49 states.

The Republican party seems divided because the RINOS keep caving in to the DEMS increased spending, higher taxes and no cuts.

These are interesting times. The Republican leadership is trying to figure out how to get more moderate candidates past the primaries and into the general election. Meanwhile the Tea Party wing of the GOP thinks they're losing elections because candidates are too moderate and are vowing to root out "RINOS" and replace them with Tea Party extremists. - The likely result of this conservative infighting? -- Third party challenges from the GOP's right flank which will split the conservative vote and hand general election victories to Democrats on a sliver platter. - The GOP dysfunction is going to be fun to watch, in a slow motion train wreck kind of way.

Unchecked extremism is what will cause our country to implode. Fortunately the majority of Americans get that and spoke loudly in the last election. It is difficult, if not impossible, for those who are extremists to actually stop and listen to or understand those who do not embrace their extremism so I am not sure how useful it is to even try to work with them. The real Republicans - now being referred to as RINOS by the extremists in their own party - may have to break away and become Independents so they can maintain their integrity and put our country first and partisanship on the back burner.

If the GOP had nominated Huntsman - or even Tim the bland - you'd have the White House and a lot of movement in the direction you want. Instead, the GOP gets to fight each other over who is more of a "100-percenter".

Asking average voters to support tax cuts for the wealthy, unlimited corporate election funding, ending Medicare, ending Social Security, ending Medicaid, ending Pell Grants, and to vote for a multi-millionaire with hidden Swiss and Cayman accounts is not going to be a winning strategy. Of course the GOP tparty'ers beg to differ. It appears that the tparty'ers would do it all again sealing another loss for the GOP. The rigid tparty NO voters will lead the GOP to further disarray and mutiny within.
