In an October interview with the online Vietnam Magazine, Hagel said he remembers telling himself in 1968 in Vietnam, "If I ever get out of this and I'm ever in a position to influence policy, I will do everything I can to avoid needless, senseless war." *** This in itself disqualifies him in the eyes of Israel's RW, and therefore of America's RW fringe that includes Ralph Reed, John Hagee and Sheldon Adelson. That Lindsey Graham is swayed by this undeniably powerfful AIPAC sponsoring coalition is an example of tail wagging the dog, inasmuch as these fearmongers want to be sure that when/if they unilaterally decide for Israel to commence war with Iran that the US has no choice but to join the attack. (If this preemptive rehetoric sounds alot like that of GW Bush and of Netanyahu, consider that Beebie is a moderate compared to those who seek to dominate US policy regarding Israel.) The louder their objections to Hagel's nomination the better he sounds to me.

Hagel is the voice of sanity and a great choice. Guys like Graham and Cantor especially Cantor have more alligence to Israel than the USA.Cantor is the highest ranking Jewish member in congressional history and is in bed with the Jewish lobby. Hagel won't send our kids to die fighting Israel's war with Iran.
