I thought the whole point of the old SLR was to get perfect registration of the shooting image and avoid the parallax of range finders which was particularly troubling with telephoto lenses. Why then do we keep these throwbacks in today's expensive cameras when the viewed image is electronic? Good to hear that quality is trickling down to the average user. Informative article.
