For those who missed it, bad gut bacteria have been proven to cause obesity by scientists in China not fast food. The bacteria is enterobactor and its toxins ( or waste products) disrupt the fat utilization mechanisms in the body. That is not to say that Americans high fat diet doesn't encourage its growth because it does. However once that bacteria is removed thru restricted diet, a high fat diet does not appear to lead to obesity. And for all the lazy among us, exercise is NOT required to lose vast amounts of weight once this bacteria is killed off by changing the PH of the gut. In this Chinese experiments, it took 23 weeks to reduce this bacteria from 35% of the morbidly obese individuals gut to zero by eating certain whole grains, Chinese health foods and probiotics. It is essentially an infection similar to E-Coli to which it is related.
