This is great news for Pelosi.

I guess I really didn't care who would be the new speaker of the house as long as it was NOT Nancy Pelosi.

At first I wondered if only Democrats were able to vote. Seems like to me Boehner does whatever Obama tells him to do. I wish Boehner was strong enough to say we need to fix things, instead he just kicked the can down the road. Someday the piper will have to be paid, Boehner was not man enough to say we need to start being responsible now. None of our "leaders" has been strong enough to say spending is out of control and we need to fix it. Just one more failure for America.

As Forrest Gump would say "Stupid is as stupid does".

What a joke. More interested in keeping his job as Speaker than doing what is right for this country. You could have agreed to the taxes Obama wanted in return for forcing him to agree to spending cuts, but noooooooooo, you basically let the tax increase go through without the spending cuts we need.

Didn't the President just say that there would be no middle-class tax increases? Then why did I just find out that my Payroll Tax deduction is going UP 2% and I will take home less on my paycheck. Someone want to explain this?

Outstanding! The implosion of the republican party will continue. Half the battle is under way. Now if the democrats continue on with their share of the graft and corruption, that party will throw itself under the bus as well.

OMG Really? Bawl Baby Boehner again??? Well I suppose, he manipulated the whole "fiscal cliff" negotiation and the the Sandy vote so he wouldn't offend the Republican reps. who would be voting for him today...too bad there wasn't someone ethical they could put forth as a candidate..oh haha...

Reelecting Boehner was a Bonner.

"Then why did I just find out that my Payroll Tax deduction is going UP 2% and I will take home less on my paycheck. Someone want to explain this?" .... because it was a temporary 2% social security payroll tax cut that if kept in place would have harmed social security funding since that cut was being made up by general funds.
