The difference between the Spend free Democrats and the cut spending Republicans are vast, not close. These are not anomalous things, these are divided things that can shake the Earth. There is a lot of angst and hate between these two institutions. It will not be easy to ever get together between hot warriors. And it does not help at all that our Socialist President would like to make us just like European nations. Do any of you think this road will be smooth? I am very sure this will be very hard. The Republicans hold all of the power in the House. Just so you all know that. The President has NO power in that place at all. Neither does the Senate. It should be interesting, um?

We just increased taxes on the rich as requested by Obama and most Democrats; did that solve the deficit problem? Nope, in fact, we are going to spend every dollar we just brought in with the tax increases on Sandy aid. It's about time we take a hard look at the social programs, defense and all spending that the federal government does and come up with a plan to make the social programs solvent and a path to no deficit within 5 years. Since we just raised taxes and that didn't fix the deficit I'd love to hear some Democrat ideas on cutting spending.
