Chris Christie is one of the few Republicans who puts their state's interests before that of the Republican party. This guy's a breath of fresh air who doesn't speak from the same Faux News/Rove/Norquist/Lindbaugh talking points. It also demonstrates the double standard that the GOP has against the Northeast. OK to give as much aid as possible to red states after hurricanes and oil spills, but when it's NY or NJ the GOP acts like we're giving foreign aid to Cubs or North Korea. Apparently nothing has changed since Barry Goldwater's 1964 quote when he wished that the eastern seaboard should just float away from "real America."
