The Vikings LB doesn't draw attention (or fines) for big hits; he just gets 'em down.

Winfield has always been the player I've used as an example that you can tackle without getting flagged or fined. Too many guys go for the kill shot and then cry when the league says 'you can't do that' anymore, but they will have to learn sooner or later.

When Greenway isn't blasting guys helmet to helmet he is jumping on the play after the guy is already down and collecting stats. Everyone played with a guy like Greenway in HS...

You sound like you're still in HS.

Hitch you don't know what you are talking about, second if every Viking played and tackled like Greenway the vikings would be undefeated.

Greenway is overpaid. Yes, he makes a lot of tackles. But how many big plays does he make? How many INTs does he have? Six for his career. How many passes defended? Against the Packers on Sunday, I saw him blow coverages, take bad angles, etc. He's a nice NFL LB. But let's not try to say he's elite. He makes $7.7 million per year. For that kind of money, he should be walking on water.

Ranger nailed it. Ringing up tackle stats is something Greenway is good at but many times it is his guy he is tackling. I would like to see a stat that shows how many of these tackles occurred 5 yards or more past the line of scrimmage.

Agree...Greenway is overpaid...by a sizeable margin. Has huge issues covering the pass and still over pursues and is out of possible on many plays. His tackles usually come after a 5 to 6 yard gain. He is our best linebacker, there is no doubt about that, but he is no elite LB.

Two yards past the line of scrimmage, 5 yards past if he gets them down isn't that better than those who try for the big hit then miss and poof the target is now 10 - 15 yards downfield. Highlight reel tackles are fine but you win more games when your tackling is sure even if unspectacular.

Without a doubt the most overpaid and over rated player on the team....how many of his tackles are behind the line of scrimmage or produce a 3 and out? His number of tackles are in direct proportion to how long the defense spends on the field which he shares in the blame.

With teeth like that Greenway should be on the Broncos.
