If Washington can make a deal, how hard can it be for hockey to compromise?

They will likely get a deal done either today or tomorrow. I have a hunch NBC probably told Bettman and the owners in so many words, no season = no more TV contract and the first Sunday NBC telecast is scheduled for Jan 20 (see the season must start no later than Jan 19...coincidence? Hardly.) It's too bad they couldn't play the Winter Classic today. It is a gorgeous winter day in Ann Arbor; 23 degrees and partly cloudy...perfect day to play a hockey game outside. Hope it was all worth it.

Bettman is incompetent, ruining the NHL with absurd expansion into non-hockey towns and thus watering down the talent level across the league. The NHL would be so much better off contracting at least 4 teams. And on the other side you have D.Fehr, the spawn of Satan. Keep in mind that the lowlife Fehr was the MLB union shill that thought it was too much of an imposition and too much of a violation for MLB players to be randomly tested for PEDs.
