The Vikings were forced to shuffle their defensive backs when the veteran had to leave the game.

Having had a broken hand with a cast on it I know what a broken had feels like. It hurts. But I also know you can do physical work with it, have it heal a lot slower, and then see that it grew back crooked. That's the route that I took due to circumstances and I can't even imagine how Winfield could choose a hand that healed correctly over even a chance to fit that crooked hand with a Super Bowl ring. FIND A WAY TO MANAGE THE PAIN ANTOINE!

I lost allot of respect for Winfield. You play the entire first half without any difficulty. Then all of a sudden you can't play the second half? We aren't talking about a foot, ankle or knee it's a hand injury and your a CB. Get on the field and help your team win. You are beyond your prime suck it up and play.

Antwain Winfield doesn't owe anybody any explaination. He's a warrior. If he says he's hurt and can't play in a playoff game that's good enough for an amateur like me.

I can't believe people are slamming Winfield. It's a broken hand, he shouldn't be playing. The problem is Sherels...he's a good return specialist, but should not be on the field with the defense. The Vikings need to figure that out, or the Packers will look more like a track team.

"Get on the field and help your team win. You are beyond your prime suck it up and play." Beyond his prime? He is still better than most at his position.

A broken hand at corner where you do a lot of hand checking is huge. I'm not surprised he pulled himself. But him leaving really hurt us. Sherels is a great return guy but him and Mistral Raymond got schooled. They are the two weak spots in our D. We simply don't have the depth to afford injuries.

It is clear Sherels is the Vikings' 5th CB for a reason. However, he has three days now to work on defending that slot position better on Saturday. I would expect coaches are going to work closely with him, and Robinson a lot this week. I hope Winfield can at least play a few crucial long third down situations in the slot position.

Put a huge cast on that hand and use it like a fly swatter to any ball that comes flying in your direction Antoine.

So why did Jefferson get so much playing time over Robinson?

Sherels looks absolutely lost when he's on the field. Knowing he actually started some games last season shows you just how bad our secondary was. They've looked much improved this year.
