Good and i hope it gets soundly defeated, if there are no huge cuts in spending now then off the cliff we go, we get new revenue and real cuts. I love how everyone is begging for a last minute deal so THEY dont have to pay anymore taxes, tax the wealthy amounting to 10 cents on a dollar spent with no cuts, ya that should fix everything.

Everyone needs to calm down and quit whining - what did you expect when you elected all these fools? We need to go over this cliff - it's the only way any meaningful spending cuts will ever happen. The Republicans during the Bush administration started this mess and the Democrats and Obama administration gratefully took the baton and kept going where Bush left off. They ALL created this mess, they're ALL at fault and now we all need to pay for it because we were dumb enough to elect them. Let's just take our medicine now and hope things are better for the next generation.

taxpayer09------I agree with most of what you said. However, it started MUCH earlier than Bush. Nearly EVERY president in the last 100 years has expanded govt into areas it should not have been involved in!
