I like it, this is a good idea. (I'm just trying to put in a positive comment before the inevitable political/xenophobic stuff comes out.)

Assimilation might be an option. Welcoming immigrants is one thing, making sure our pork farmers don't get their product into schools is insane.

Why is pork banned for a minority? This is political correctness run rampant and punishes everyone else.

Like I tell my kids, eat what's on the table or don't eat. I'm tired of catering to the special interests.

"Like I tell my kids, eat what's on the table or don't eat. I'm tired of catering to the special interests." ....... I wonder if the St. Paul School Distict prepares Kosher meals? For some reason, I think they do and without much fanfare or disagreement.

Have we all forgotten where we came from? Have we all forgotten that we all came from somewhere else and didn't immediately assimilate. I can still remember the school district serving lutefisk prior to Christmas. I guess the "special interests" are okay as long as you are part of the special interest.

Some of these comments remind me of the Silver Shirts in Minneapolis. Have we really gone back to those times?

Here's a crazy idea, if you don't like it bring your own. Obviously you eat your own food at home.
