May be the next time a monster will appear? This is why some of us don't believe in catch and release during the summer so someone can cherry pick the monsters in the winter.

Not only is that hole in the ice a "big screen" but it is more "HD" than any TV you can ever afford!

I love it. Always gotta be someone whining "He speared my fish, deer, etc". So are you saying you kill every northern you catch? I did quit spearing because I don't care to eat northern. But I love angling out of a darkhouse. Always something going on. I call it my Amish Vexillar.

Spearing goes against all the efforts / regulations the DNR establishes in that there is no catch and release of the larger fish. It's not just taking the "eaters" but taking the breeder females. If it weren't for all the money the spearing lobby contributes to our crooked political system, spearing would be eliminated.
