Let's assume the Packers bring enough healthy players to field an effective Defense. And let's suppose they are able to (somewhat) contain Peterson (100 yds or so by the 4th Qtr). Do the Vikings abandon the run (Peterson) so they can try to score quickly on long passes (and abandon Peterson's hopes for a rushing title?) Or, do the Vikings stay with Peterson and the run, at the risk of gaining an individual rushing title, but lose the game and exit the playoffs? I'm sure some of you want the rushing title, and the win, and a 55-7 win like the Packers had last week. So what is it: rushing title, a win, or everything?

Once more - with meaning. By the way, does anyone know if they've lifted the TV blackout yet?

i think they - the rushing title and win- kind of go together. in other words, i think i like our chances of the W if AD get's the rushing record. if he get's that many yards and Ponder plays at anything above an 85 QB rating, we win this 8 out of 10 times. if they control AD somewhat, i think we can still win with an above avg. game by ponder and receivers.i think our D plays at least 6 to 7 points better at home than on the road due to the noise.

Just a West Coast shout out to the Vikings tomorrow vs. Green Bay.. I like The Vikings tomorrow at Metro. That is flat out a playoff game for them as opposed to Green Bay who is in regardless of the outcome. The other piece is Minnesota is playing really good football right now, Their defense is as solid and healthy as they have been all season. Their offense is rocking with Adrian Peterson running wild. Their killer punch now is throwing Toby Gerhart at a tired defense in the fourth quarter. Toby is monsterously strong and destroys a defense's will in the 4th Q..

The Vikings have added some valuable players this season -- Walsh, Kalil, Smith and Felton -- but they're the still not in the Packers' league. The Packers are one victory from completing back-to-back sweeps of their division, which hasn't been done since divisional play began (and by the way, this is the top division in the NFL by victory totals). They've won nine straight regular-season finales, the longest active streak in the league. They know how to close, and they're getting healthy and deep. You can have the great Adrian Peterson -- and he is a marvel. I'll take the best QB in the NFL throwing to Jordy, Jennings, Jones and J-Mike (and perhaps Randall Cobb). And I will take Green Bay's disruptive, ballhawking defense over that of the aging Vikings.

I want a Vikings win as much as anybody but, this is now big time football. Do you really think the tooth fairy came and made Ponder an NFL QB last night?

Dan, Why are you using the words "sneaked into the playoffs"? Not sure but if someone would take a poll about how many wins should put you in the playoffs it would be 9-10. They have 9 and this would be 10 so if they win they do not sneak into the playoffs but are in!

The question is not if AP can break the record but can Ponder and his offense put up 35 points it will take to win this game? I think not,Packers 32 Vikings 17.
