Great success story from a person that learned life's lessons and worked hard to achieve some goals. Perfect story of what this country has to offer. Hmmm... A plate of ribs for lunch sounds just right.

I purchased Famous Dave's stock in early 1997 at around $10 a share. Their stock price more than 15 years later is around $9 share. From an investing standpoint, the only good thing that can be said is that they have not filed bankruptcy. Really a major dog of a stock. But I do like their food.

Always liked the man and loved the food. After reading this, I like him even more.

Funny how lots of money keeps the wife happy. If I would have had major screwups and a low paying job, wifey would have left long ago.

Interesting that KFC failed in Cottage Grove and Famous Dave's is moving into the space. If they have a reasonably priced lunch menu, they may do okay.

Nice guy, lousy ribs. I could take you to roadside shacks all over Texas that put Famous Dave's to shame. He's strictly minor league when it comes to true barbecue.
